ABOUT Ms. Melissa
Melissa Failla is our Parent-Tot and 3 Year teacher. She is a graduate from Oakland University with Associates Degrees in both General Studies and Psychology. She has also attained two Bachelors of Science Degrees: one in Human Resource Development and another in Child Psychology. She worked as a Social Worker in Foster Care and Adoptions for 6 years before staying home to raise her two daughters. During this time, Melissa found Anchor Bay Co-Op Preschool and decided to bring her girls here to be educated. She was an active part of our Co-Op for 6 years as a parent and board member, holding the positions of Scheduling Chairperson and President each for 2 years. After her girls went on to Kindergarden, she decided to further her education by earning her certificate in Early Childhood Education. She student taught for 1 year at our Co-Op and then became our teacher. She has currently been teaching in this program for 6 years. She truly loves and believes in our program and it's philosophies. |
